DESIGN SUPPORT LEAD

  • Location: Knoxville, TN

  • Valuable member of the Henricksen team since December 2019

  • Education: BS, Interior Design from Middle Tennessee State University

  • Hometown: Franklin, TN

Kaitlyn is incredibly passionate about sharing her knowledge with others. In April 2024, she was promoted from Design Consultant to Design Support Lead. A significant part of Kaitlyn's role is discovering new ways to further streamline our design process and serving as a valuable resource for our design team members. One of her key focus areas is conducting training and mentoring new Design Consultant hires, as well as sharing best practices with the current design team and fostering design and vendor partner relationships. With her immense product knowledge, breadth of expertise, and familiarity with pricing and rendering software, our design team's abilities are unmatched.

In addition to her responsibilities as Design Support Lead, Kaitlyn will continue to support our Sales team with design tasks. This includes selecting and pricing product, creating furniture plans, developing high-quality renderings, selecting finishes, engaging with clients, assembling spec packages, and preparing installation drawings. Kaitlyn specializes in the design of corporate and healthcare environments, with an emphasis on behavioral health. Her projects range nationwide from small urgent care facilities to large, full-scale hospitals. Kaitlyn has done extensive work for Community Health Systems and HCA Healthcare, both of which have facilities across the US, and Helen Ross McNabb, East Tennessee’s leading nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, and victim services. Kaitlyn’s wealth of design knowledge in healthcare environments makes her a valuable addition to our clients' teams, who can rely on Kaitlyn to navigate furnishing their healthcare facilities with aptitude and proficiency.

Kaitlyn loves to spend time outdoors, whether admiring mountain scenery, skiing, or walking in the snow in the winter months. She and her husband, Mason, have been happily married since 2020. Together, they co-parent three cats (Truck, Bonnie, and Gaia) and three dogs (Lucy, Jet, and Athena). She enjoys reading a good book in her downtime, discovering new home projects to tackle on the weekends, and dreaming of her next great adventure.
