We believe we can create a higher quality of life through design.
The 7 day design event of the year, Nashville Design Week, swept the community last week.
This week consisted of over 90 events. Ranging from exhibitions, open studios, and site visits to workshops, talks, and parties, this city-wide series of programs was created with the intent of unifying the design community to elevate Nashville’s design economy.

Synergy Takes NDW
With such a great mission, the Synergy team had to get involved. We signed up and attended as many events as possible, and cannot wait to support the event next year!
The first event of the week we attended was “Off the Wall,” a mural tour on Charlotte Ave.
This community art project was created to start a larger conversation about urban design.
Next, our team visited the site for the future development of May Hosiery. At its peak this building was where the manufacturing for Moonsocks started.
DAAD and AJ Capital's goal was to keep the integrity of the building intact. The site has a lot of history and created the tissue of the neighborhood. They want to include the past in the present and future by keeping the narrative of the property alive.
Once completed, May Hosiery will be mixed use property to include hospitality, commercial, and retail spaces.
East Side Design Studio Crawl was another great event we added to the list. Bootstrap Architecture, Hawkins Partners, Pfeffer Torode Architecture, Powell Architecture, Tolleson McCoy, EOA, and Hodgson Douglas collaborated to create an awesome open studio environment.
Biophilic Design: Primal Productivity hosed by greenSTUDIO and Hastings explored why it is healthy and more productive to include natural design in modern buildings.
Splinters, Band-Aids, and Bourbon with Cremona Custom Built was a fantastic way to get a behind the scenes look on how custom wood furniture is created.
Ladies, Wine, & Design was an event that revolves around conversations about design and life for female creative. This month’s topic was imposter syndrome.
